The Gold Coast Suns delisted Hugh Greenwood despite having 2 years to go on his contract with the promise they would re-draft him and sign him to their rookie list. But North Melbourne swooped in and picked Greenwood up lol
Good to see a team get screwed over with this moving vets on to the rookie list shenanigans, Eddie Betts was on the rookie list at Carlton this year FFS.
Who cares, by the way Weeks is a point guard, not greenwood's position, never been that great, gets good headlines though.

Because there is an AFL tag on here for a reason just like there is an off-topic tag too and Greenwood was a highly touted college basketball player who signed with an NBL team and then quit during training camp to switch to footy so I thought some would be interested.
Unlikely an nbl team with a spot left thought of doing the same thing.
Even he admitted recently with JJ coming in he would need a hardcore retraining to even get close to NBL standard.

I know people like to bleat about this, but in hindsight, you could well think that he would have been better off forgoing his basketweaving degree from bumfuck college, and simply opting for AFL
People love to complain about BBall players being "lost to AFL" but with somebody who was clearly multi-skilled, and not that great at BBall, is that really the case?
