Sixers vs United Round 2

McCarron is back for the sixers, they missed there floor general in a disappointing loss to Tassie.

Adelaide trying to avoid losing their 4th straight. Melbourne looking for 9 wins in a row.

Will Kai Sotto continue his Rookie of the Year form against the physically imposing Ariel Hukporti?

Adelaide by 6pts.

Hannahs best used as offensive option while cutting - whether inside or for a three. Don't give the ball if not cutting - wastes too much tine trying to get himself in a position to shoot.

Goulding 0/14 Dellavedova 1/20 hahaha
I said at 3qt that whoever gets rolling of Goulding or Hannahs was going to win, so it went out way this time.
Was so frustrating to watch when we were stuck on 70 for like 15 mins, but we found a way to win. Hannahs was pretty much a liability for 39 mins, then a match winner for 6.

Sixers you bring my faith to life. Woohoo that's the team we call Adelaide.. let that sink in boys .. dusty finding his groove.. maybe cj can coach. Master move off the bench. Brings offence...sixers priming for a solid run now...if get IH fully operational on 8 cylinders or at least 2 legs what bogus it be to team...turnovers fix the problem and shit happens.. winnersare grinders...so hopeful doomdayers give club some clear air to progression in upwards trend.. gelling and now gellyigniting... on board the tram it's full steam ahead beluevers...no rocket science most points win most game so bring the offensive weapons boom boom

such a stupid argument, so in your words you could say

If team A shot better, had less turnovers, got more rebounds, had more assist, had more steals than they would have won so that means nothing for team B.

Adelaides defense was a lot better than normal. They contested shots. They put score board pressure on

Yeah there's little to take from this win. Melbourne shot atrociously and Adelaide still needed overtime and for Hannahs to pull things from his backside to win. Melbourne were due a bad game, and Adelaide were due a not-so bad game. Both happened on the same night, and hence the result.

I don't want anyone in Sixers camp to start getting optimistic or start thinking there's hope this season - there's not. We need to make changes to this team and fast if we have any hope of making the playoffs. Yesterday's win changes ZERO.

"But Adelaide don't, on average, shoot better. Melbourne do."

I've defended koberulz when they've been right so I feel obliged to call them out when they're wrong. Adelaide have, on average shot better this season than they did against Melbourne (43.8% vs 39%, respectively).

Worth noting that Adelaide's defence also held Melbourne to nearly the same shooting percentage they held Tasmania to, a couple of days earlier (34% vs 35%). Melbourne also were opting for low percentage 3 pointers. So Adelaide's defence probably did have something to do with Melbourne's shooting woes.

Of course it did look at Goulding yeah sure he probably won't go 0/16 again but most of those were 3pts where he shot 0/11. That's just dumb basketball no matter who you are even inefficient ball hogs like a Kobe or an Iverson would've shaken things up by starting to go to the hole or something crazy like passing the ball to someone else.
