If Simmons went to the Nets...

Ok, they are rumors...

But what if Simmons went to the Nets with a trade deal that included Matisse Thybulle as some in the media had suggested?

means Brooklyn Nets

Patty Mills, Ben Simmons & Matisse Thybulle (3 Aussies) all in one team, and the convince Kyrie Irving to play for Australia?

one can only dream lol

just the thought of Mills, Simmons & Thybulle on the same team would be better to comment?

No point putting a block in your own way - so 76ers won't make nets better.

However would love to see Simmons, Thybulle, Mills, KD, Irving from an Aussie pov

I dont think it'd happen, as mentioned above each team would make the other better. But it would be a great fit for both teams if everyone (Simmons and Harden specifically) buy into their new teams.

Simmons at the Nets wouldnt have to shoot and you could play him as the "big" in closing line ups where they currently have a big void. He'd improve their defense immensely. You just need him to buy into working more off the ball as the screener in pick and rolls as Giannis did in last years Finals. While Harden has done a good job at setting guys up (leading the league in assists) he hangs on to the ball too much, so Simmons style of attacking early or giving it up when nothing presents would work well here with Kyrie and KD the two guys you're giving it up to.

Harden + Embiid at the Sixers would clearly be genuine contenders and take some of the pressure of Joel to play big minutes night after night and make big plays down the stretch.

I think a Harden-Simmons trade makes sense for both parties, purely from a basketball standing. Who knows how much sway guys like Durant and Irving have in the Nets decisions though, and who they want in Brooklyn. I have the feeling this'll drag into the off-season. A disappointing run for both teams in the playoffs might change their minds.
