Aussie UBL Comp Vs US College System

I'm asking for people who know a bit about the new(ish) Aust University BBall league (UBL) for some info. I am not connected at all in these matters.
I have a daughter - a consistent state rep, trying out for national U17 team, in year 12 - currently assessing her options for 2023. She has fielded offers by 3 or 4 US colleges Div 1 - which she has turned down due to the colleges not being to strong academically in her chosen field. She is quite bright, very good chance of nabbing a slot at a sandstone G8 Aussie uni. She loves basketball but does not want to trade down her academic training to play ball at a reasonable level.

So what about UBL? If you think about it - if you nab a govt sponsored spot as an undergrad it is similar to full 4y scholarship in the US.
Question 1 - can I presume the quality of the UBL comp is not very high? Question 2 Does she pay her travel expenses and accommodation if she travels interstate? Health insurance costs? Other stuff I might have missed - such as entering a NBL1 team and combining this with her studies - is that do-able?

Cannot compare Australian Uni ball with the US.
If she is getting Div 1 offers, has she considered Div 2 to get her preferred education.
Many Aussies sit in their freshman year anyway.

Australia's UBL is in its infancy as far as the league standard and growth, and is a mile away from D1 level in the US - not even in the same conversation. It is not a league where your daughter will be able to make the step up. NBL1 or as a DP on a WNBL team would be better.

Some D2 schools are better than low level D1 schools when it comes to basketball standard.
