Massive choke by SEM.

Possibly even more massive travel by Delly.

Questionable decision making.

For connoisseurs of choking, the last 5 minutes have been a highlight of the round

Can someone fill me in on what's happened to Cam Gliddon? I haven’t been following the NBL too closely recently. Seems like he was a potential Boomer and now he’s hardly playing in the NBL?

SEM got very cocky. They were celebrating plays like they'd won the grand final while Melbourne just got on with it. SEM looked good most of the game but lacked composure in the last few minutes. A big final quarter from Melbourne and that long 3 from Goulding was huge.

Hukporti was great down the stretch, Old heads Goulding and coach Vickerman also. Heal and Gaze know there shit but I believe Heal talks to much, they should not commentate together.
SEM chokers, for all the great stuff Creek does he has brain fades.

Its not the first time SEM have choked trying to close out a game. The coach the main culprit looked lost and with no ideas. Bone head Te Rangi starts throwing up garbage with 3 minutes still on the clock

Cam Gliddon was always overrated now he's just a shell providing nothing out there. Just like Broekhoffs career has gone down the toilet. What a huge disappointment he has been since coming back. Granted the NBL is a tough league to score but he's missing wide open looks. So much for being the best Australian shooter we once had.

What was that a 15 point turnaround by United in the final quarter? That's the difference between these two teams one is a proven legit contender the other is a pretender that thinks it's on the same level.

That outrageously long 3 by Goulding to essentially put the game out of reach was typical Goulding no other player in the league would have the balls to put up such a bad shot as that but with him they go in more often that not. You've got to admire him even after that massive dive he took just before it, the guy has such genuine confidence in himself and it's not fake bravado like Creek either.

Early in the 4th SEM had pushed it out to an 82-70 lead, and from that point it was 8-28.

It wasn't a travel by Delly - he didn't lift his foot

I'm surprised Mitchell's bizarre early first quarter use of the challenge system hasn't been mentioned - he burnt his challenge and lost a timeout over something that was never going to be reversed.

Gliddon did well in Fearne's system where he didn’t have to create his points and knew where his shots were coming. As a decent defender and theee point shooter, he looked very good.

Was found out in Lemon’s system which was not as structured, and now again in SEM.

Simply, some play styles suit players far better than others.

Gliddon would have been far more useful than Terangi in the last five minutes, Terangi has some reasonable games but overall pretty average, Adnam not good today either.

"It wasn't a travel by Delly - he didn't lift his foot"

Shuffled his pivot foot afterwards, wasn't called.

If you call every heel toe wiggle it's going to be a very very long game

"Shuffled his pivot foot afterwards, wasn't called" - no he never lifted his left foot toes - not a travel

However, down the other end straight after - Mumford slides on the floor with the ball - that's a travel - but no travel call - hmmmm

Quality game overall. Some big momentum swings. Creek looked too good for White today when he's getting the three ball, attacking hard and finishing. Agreed with the comments that the SEM guard rotation just seems a little disjointed, Adnam and Le’Afa too similar and the minute spread not quite tight. Gliddon seems to have lost all confidence. He’s a quality player with a great stroke but similar to Broekhoff has become unreliable. Good to see Broekhoff adding some additional skills such as rebounding but definitely agree that he looks a shell of the NBA sharpshooter he once was.

Thought Delly had a great first half, took the ball to the hoop with the floaters and set United up nicely. Hukporti really starting to show he’s complete game, aggressive defence, rim running and nice touch around the basket.

SEM definitely not pretenders, just needed to execute down the stretch, looks like a good finals series coming up.

I'd say the 3-4 times that the Phoenix guards got mixed up on the Goulding curl across the top probably hurt as much as the 5 possessions in a row that they did not use Creek in an offensive set when they were 12 up.
And whilst people pot Broekhoff on here, his loss on the defensive end hurt. He may not be a great defender but he communicates better than what finished the game.

That Delly screen on Rowdy might shape SEM's back half. He was on the bench in a sling under his warm up top in the second half.
