It always makes me happy when I'm not the only bad speller around here. Lol.

It’s a good move, this next season will be a lot harder to get where they were as sides will be coming after JJs.

When you consider some of the reasons he was going to leave - family in the US and a new house amongst them - clearly they have had to really move some things around to make the deal work for Roth - and in the long term. That speaks to an organization that knows what it is doing. if this were the 36ers we would have lost Scott Roth. This will probably be the most important signing they make. If they can get Magette and Adams back, an impact four and Magnay back they'll be back in the conversation again next year.

Dunkman - which do you think would pay more coaching JJs or coaching Japan as rumored?

Japan, it's mult lingual country, most coaches there are foreigners so English is the spoken team talk. Lot more relaxed in Tasmania though and LK probably parted with what was required to keep him.

You can navigate most major cities in Japan easily without speaking Japanese.

Exactly money does talk but there are variables involved.

After hearing Roth on the local media not sure if Adams is staying - in the coach's case he'll get some $'s and lifestyle with the players in their window of opportunity it may be more an about $s, hoping he does and hope Magette does as well

From NBL "My preference is what they're comfortable with. It is a business. They've been all great. I'd love to have them all back," Roth said.
“We'll start to talk with our imports next week and get more serious about that ... see where we're at with financial stuff.
“The reality is, money talks and where they're at in their life talks, what they're looking for down the road talks. We'll try to be as accommodating as we can to make them come back here.
“Let's not fool ourselves, Josh Adams has played very well, he's taken a pay cut to come here the first time. If he chooses not to come back the second time, we've done our job to make these guys better players, better people, send them out, make more money, you have a short window of time in your lifetime to do that. There's nothing wrong with that."

Great job by Tassie to reward the architect and driving force behind the JJ culture. Will be interesting to see how things go next season with a target on them. I called a sweep in finals just didn't see enough local talent for them to win vs the Kings. If they get Adams back and upgrade at Point Guard. The import PG had a fairytale season but he’s not elite by any stretch and honestly the system made both the other 2 imports look way better than they are. That will be key landing the right imports who not only fit the culture as the previous guys but are also more since and elite talent. If they nail the imports with the culture in place they can definitely be title contenders if not it will but tough great coach or not you still need elite talent.

Think Roth also said there was the possibility of going with 2 imports and an Australian.....could be interesting

Rumour was there's been lots of phone calls between Roth and Japan. And JJs supposedly only just missed on Nick Kay last time...

Kay could be in a bidding war between Tasmania and Perth, a few others as well. Sydney might be in there if Cook goes elsewhere.
