Hawks host Sixers tonight, on Fox
Fox Sports 1 at 7:30PM AEDT. 7PM Adelaide time.
For their part, Adelaide was a trifle disappointing against West Sydney, and although they looked in control and realistically weren't going to lose that game, they gave the Pigs a number of opportunities to climb back into it if the Razorbacks had a healthy James Harvey, who knows what might have happened?
Regardless, you can forgive them a down game, especially with captain Brett Maher sick as a dog with a gastro-intestinal virus. Dusty Rychart and Willie Farley the other two members of Adelaide's awesome trio picked up the slack with Maher somewhat incapacitated, and the Sixers got good production out of David Cooper and Jacob Holmes.
But this is Adelaide's toughest test to date. The Hawks are on a mission right now, and it's amazing how much their confidence has increased in such a short space of time. They match-up very well with the 36ers, and the Groves-Farley battle should be a highlight. But I like Ballinger and Saville to take the points over Cooper and Rychart, and Wollongong's D will be stronger than what Adelaide has faced recently. Brendan Joyce will have his guys motivated to do a number on the league's top team, and I'm tipping the Hawks to salute a raucous Sandpit crowd with a solid victory.
Prediction: Hawks by 7
