JJs@36ers Saturday 8pm

Anything else going on at 36ers? Bookies have JJs in to $1.50 favourites from even money when markets opened. That just doesn't seem right unless there is another big out. 36ers otherwise will still be very tough at home imo.

The Sixers two best players are out suspended I would've thought it would be a minor miracle if they somehow get up.

The only thing in Sixers favour is, it's in Adelaide. They are just short of 40p and 15r missing plus a few assists. JJs are licking their lips. Hopefully Sixers make a contest of it but unless DJV finds his shooting form it could blow out. JJs by 15 plus.

Let's be honest here, Tassie loves playing in Adelaide, they’re sensationally coached and a defensive juggernaut.

Those types of teams absolutely wreck Adelaide when Adelaide is at its best let alone a few players down.

Humphries, DJV and Martin will need to score a gazillion buckets each for it to be remotely competitive.

With Crawford out Sixers are a chance.

Media were saying Mayen was out but Wells said he was back and training with the group?

Crawford out or not, Jacks rightly faves here. They'll get up by 5-10 in a low scoring affair.

Cadee needs to play his role cos he's not a high % shooter with D on him

Looks like Wells is tinkering with the lineups a lot early. Russman, Rigoni and Griscti getting minutes early on.

Russman actually been fairly good early, Drimic torching the old side.

Overall probably doing well to be down by 1. At least still have a chance in the 2nd half. If Martin can get something going offensively that will be a big help, don't think you can rely on Mayen or Russman to make up for DJ missing so many shots again.

Sixers really competitive in the half, hopefully they can keep it going. Be nice if Martin turned up to earn the money they are paying him, he still looks well overweight. Doyle on three fouls could make it interesting, JJs not playing that well, it's been a strange season so far for them.

This is the game that Jarell Martin should be showing out.. at what point are we gonna start placing expectations on the big guy? Right now Starling would be an improvement!

Interesting decision to get it back even and then basically pull the scorers except for Humphries.

Rassumen not creating anything in the half-court and they kept him on for a lot of that quarter. That's when DJ goes to hero ball and that utterly failed.

Martin, you may want to have scored at least once before you start trying to do Chris Webber around the back dunks. Good lord.

Just an absolute momentum killer when he does that and then JackJumpers hit a 3 the other way.

Rasmussen had a great game but at the end he got too scared to finish the drive to the basket and DJV had to take a super difficult shot.

Sixers were right in that. Some dumb plays and in fairness maybe some home ref calls but if they can improve their defence and preferably shot selection too they could be top two for sure

Sixers played well, should play finals and developing a few good young players. JJs just to consistent. Rasmussen, Humphries, Dech good for Sixers, Magnay, MacDonald good for JJs. DJV so bad, it's a team sport.

Passionate JJs man here - respect to Adelaide for the d they played in the last quarter and to their coach for rotating players according to who will pay D.

But seriously some of those calls in the last 5 minutes what the absolute fk.

Cleanest block to Mags - did the ref feel the need to call it as there was a block. that was just wrong then the one straight after off the leg.....???

Two clean blocks and then the out of bounds in the final minutes, if that cost the JJs it would have been outrageous.

If JJs can sneak into the play in tournament from here and then win through to the semis then MU's worst nightmare might play out again in having to go through the JJs to the chip. Very handy away win tonight for JJs. 14 or 15 regular season wins looking more of a chance now with a lot of home games to come and a generally more favourable schedule. And what if the Calvary were to fly back in from Houston? Admittedly, very unlikely now.

How DJ is called a shooter is crazy.

Blatant chucker that does not make his team
18ppg on 38% FG and 33% 3PT is horrendous.

Thats not even the worst part.
He averages 2 assists to 1.6 TO's per game.

For how much the ball is in his hands this is alarming.

Can we please rename him to chucker from shooter.

I think Adelaide insufficiently created space for open shots, so it's hard to blame DJV for having to take shit shots.

The only ones who drove aggressively to the basket to create space was Rasmussen (kinda) and DJV himself.

I think that context is pretty crucial.

DJV played like Sobey, hogged it, let the ball move and it creates open shots, put your head down and dribble the air out the ball to then throw up rubbish, even the commentary were onto it.

Ket, he has done it all season.

He gets hot 1-5 games but kills his team the other 4.
Mind you is out of shape hence the constant cramping.

We don't win anything with DJ chucking as much as he is.

Id rather have him as a spot up guy with limited mins being the primary scorer if Trez and KD are on bench.

Humphries had a nice night and clip yet DJ kept chucking.

I think the limitations of DJV are coming more to light now. He's no #1 offensive option like he thinks he is. In Sydney he was a #3 or #4 option on offence, perhaps could've had a bit more responsibility but certainly no #1.

I don't get why since he's not injured, playing in every NBL game this season including Boomers duty, yet has this issue. Is there a reason other than laziness/unprofessionalism?
