Nominations close friday for the classic and Nudawading close today.

Nudawading have advised if you email them to tell them you are nominating for the classic as well they give you a reference number to refer back to if you withdraw from them and get accepted to the classic. You do not have to pay the nomination straight away but if you get declined from the classic then you have 24 hours to pay for their tournament.

Apparently the expression of interest went in for NSW teams end of March and Melbourne get back to BNSW with who is accepted by mid term of the competition which for Metro teams is in 2 weeks time.

But with the JPL Competition BNSW run the ladder as 1 ladder only and currently the country teams have played 2 more games than the Metro teams so how they decide it who knows.

The same weekend is the John Martin tournament and maybe BNSW want NSW teams to go there but that too is only open to JPL Metro teams.

Decision already made for Classic on which interstate teams attend.

NSW Metro comp still has 1 game to go this sunday to complete the halway poin t of the competition.

Country teams have played more games than Metro.

If our team win on sunday they will go to equal 4th with a country team and have been advised yesterday they were not accepted.

Obviously rules change or decision makers do not look at the ladders properly in conjunction the BNSW.

Paperwork from Basketball Vic say to qualify you are to be in the top 4 in your competition for an interstate team to qualify and decided at halfway point of competition which is also the same time for SA teams and most BNSW Country teams attend the John Martin Tournament which is on the same weekend.

In the BNSW Competition forPremier League they have 1 ladder only and the country teamshave played more games so the ladder is not a true indication at this stage.

It would make sense to sort the BNSW ladder by win percentage, rather than win count, to account for teams that have played more games.

There has been the odd NSW Country team attend the Classic in the past (e.g. Maitland U18 Boys last year). I suppose they just need to make a choice between the Classic and the John Martin tournament.

Top 3 only invited from SA this year (potential for wildcard)

Mainly due to a decent chance of some international teams attending this year. It would be great for the competition if this happens.

Hopefully some CoE kids get cleared to play to make the competition even stronger.

I'm told that invitations have sent to clubs and top 4 teams from SA across the board have made it.

I don't believe any CoE kids will be attending because their club didn't qualify, they've aged out, or they have a clash in schedule.

Jayhoops - that sounds correct - may depend age group by age group.
Saw yesterday one SA club has announced their 4th placed team is going to classics on social media.
