has this been confirmed ?
seems a bit amateur hour if so . This gives me no confidence that the supposed new owners want to change things and current management is being retained .
I think it would be fair to wait until there is more clarity on how they came to this point before passing amateur hour judgements, Troppo. Personally, I don't mind that he is back.
What's the problem with current management being retained ? The Taipans main problem has been insufficient capital not management. If the (presumed) new owners are out of towners I would think retaining current management would be a good thing to do. Cairns is a unique market and having people in place who understand it would be helpful, in my view.
If the (presumed) new owners are locals (which could well be the case) it's the extra capital that is needed and if they choose to retain the current management, I don't see a great problem with that.
