Basketball SA's New Years Resolutions!

In a couple of days we will all be saying

"I'm giving up smoking" or
"I'm only going to drink on special ocassions" or
"i'm not going to max out my credit card"

but let's face it, what really matters is how Mike Daws is going to run our beloved Basketball association this year.

What does everyone think will be on his (Basketball SA's) resolutions?

1.make positive changes
2.get people feeling positive about the direction of bbal in SA.

whatever they do it must be positive in peoples eyes cos at the moment its a black vortex,

Apparently, the 36ers have resolved to turn up to some of their games in 2006.

Mike Daws? Thanks for reminding me of who he is. Extremely quiet since taking on the new role in my opinion. Hoping this means that he will be the silent achiever. Would be nice to hear from him occassionally on the official club website just to make his presence known.

I have seen Mike Dawes at all NBL and WNBL games since he was appointed.

He has also mentioned in the paper about how the ABA needs to be marketed better. Also the change of name (interesting!?)

Sell the sixers and let Paul Bell run them.

Get rid of the big 'SIXERS' on all the singlets and merchandise and go back to just having the '36ERS' logo on everything. That's their name and they shouldn't officially go by their nickname. You don't see a massive 'PIGS' on the West Sydney tops do you?

Give Daws a chance please. He has a hell of a mess to clean up and cannot do it all overnight.
The man is getting things moving, but needs time and a good support crew behind him.
At least he appears interestaed in what the district clius have to sat- and they make up Basketball SA.
Happy New Year to all

Sorry, that should read 'clubs', not clius.

As much as I hope things will change, I just can not see it. We have heard this so many times, and every time people have delivered nothing.

Half time entertainment should involve a dunk comp for 5 lucky people from the crowd on an 8 foot ring.

Yeah baby!!

YES BOB - THAT IS A GREAT IDEA, but where to get a stable 8 foot ring from in the required time?

yeah, that's a sweet idea. I've always wanted a torn pectoral muscle, just like my main whinger *cough* man - Ro Roberts!

52 - Just have a weigh-in beforehand, like boxing...

"In the Left Corner, weighing in at 110 Kgs, Betsy 'Bingo-Arms' Smith..."

Handicaps for flyweights???

Hell of a concept or concept from hell?
