There is a lot riding on the performance of coaches at these titles. A good performance by the team gets players institute positions. Coaches can be selected for Australian Junior Camp and possible ABA positions at home.
It is the breeding ground for new and upcoming coaches. Just like the players there is a huge burnout because the commitment in hours (unpaid) is enormous.
To be successful you must commit fully to the players.
It is no PARTY!!
Lack of results means not being appointed the following year.
The same pressures still apply at club level only the stakes and the prize is different.
