changes to the new season...

I have a few questions;

1. Why are Junior Women going back to play with a size six basketball?

2.Is it true that as of next year, BASA are making it and U/21 league instead of U20's?

The size 6 rule is a FIBA change that actually came into being with the same set of rules as when the possesion arrow was introduced. Basically all womens games are meant to be played with a size 6 ball.

Interesting to note in the new list of changes in the new FIBA rule book, any player now "flopping" to dry and draw a charge foul WILL geta personal foul for blocking called, and a technical foul as well for trying to intimadate the referee.

ALL technical fouls will now be 2 shots and posession, which should stop some of the confusion.

The rule changes also state that 55 is no longer a restriction in national compeitions as far as player numbers goes. Not sure if that means the old 4-15, 20-25, 30-25, 40-45, 50-55 are gone, and you can basically have any number.

Ahh.... Now I understand why the WNBA girls shoot so well!
That size 6 ball is deceptive. I was watching ESPN, and was like "damn these chicks are off the Hook!"

And then I was shooting dice in the ally, and officer leyroy came up and said "eh, I thought I told you kids..."
And I was like "Yeah what ever!"

Lyrical Bags!

ok ok i understand that we have to be using a size six ball for the sake of being the same.
But why should we have to change sizes? do they think we cant take it or what??

Should we lower the ring for them too because genetically men grow taller?

Bet Woodville would have liked to have seen the flopping rule in force against Norwood. Jason Januske would have gotten 2 techs. On that game, it also would have been good to see a charge actually called in the game, too. I've never seen so many players put their body on the line for no return from the refs, and that's from both teams.
