Sixers @ Bullets

Hi all
Is this broadcast thru any radio brisbane radio station tonight? If not, anyone with Fox wanna volunteer to keep us informed on here?
I so hope we can pull it together tonight. Planning on doing the Road Trip to Melbourne on the 14th if we do (and win our Knock out final of course).
With Maher out I think we will struggle and Brisbane will probably get up by about 10. But i thought we would go down by about 20 in Perth when I heard Maher was out so what do i know??

I get the feeling that Phil isnt fazed if we win or lose, so I don't expect us to win this one and think he'll probably share the minutes out tonight.

Hope he doesn't make the same mistake as last year in choosing our position based on which team he would rather play in the instant elimination playoff game.

Quirky that both teams have their star play maker out injured who will be replaced by a guy named Hill off the bench

we started with hill, dusty, oscar, willie and jacob

farley upset mckinnon and mckinnon are burning us less than 7 mins gone and we are 17 - 6 down more unsettling is that the majority of points have been scored in the paint

55-35 don't bother buying finals tickets the effort they are making it won't be worth the money

Adelaide DO NOT know the meaning of defence I am tired of watching Brisbane players walking into the key for uncontested shots.

on one play we turned the ball over and brisbane had 3 missed shots and we only managed to get two players back in defence before the shot finally went in.

PATHETIC

strangely it seems west sydeny are up at half time over the hawks so I may still be heading to melbourne.
But our chance of even winning our knockout final are starting to look slim. :-(

It's fair to say that we have lost the game i think. Hopefully our form changes when Maher comes back next week for the knock out final.

I think the score is 59- 35 at the half.

true but its a sad reflection on the team if they depend on him THAT much. He is great, he is our leader but these guys are pro's they should be able to function without 1 member missing. 61-37! Q3 might not crack 50 points.

well the spirits will be high for the finals! sure you may not care to much about the result but this is just soul eating stuff, like the above post where is their pride, apart from dusty and farley who there even tried?

wright has emptied his bench and bullets are still motoring away

Yep for sure, this is just the thing we need before the finals. Agreat moral booster with 3 bad looses, in cluding this one where we have lost by over 40. Next week we will see how different our team is with Maher and whether we can break free and make it to the semis. I am @&#@#$%!! ready to explode, and thank god i didn't go over to my mates house to watch the game, I would have thrown a brick at the TV.

It seems now one else tries apart from Farley Nash and Rychart. Now Boti where the fu@# was Gower power hey!!!!! tell me.

hmmm Im glad i didnt get tickets tonight..

Clearly Brisbane was fired up and we just didnt give a shit! I would have hoped a professional team would have more pride than they showed tonight - the team should be embarrassed with the effort tonight - and only a coupl eof them actually earned their pay tonight!

and for the record I thought Coop actually battled hard tonight along with Dusty and willie!

very soft team i am amazed that as a professional unit they didn't show any guts at all.

where were the defensive stops, where were the desperate attempts for the ball.

it was like a training drill on how not to play defense.

any under 12 side would have shown more determination and grit

i agree with the soft coach tag and that it is reflected in the team however, one thing i will say and i am not a phil smyth fan, he never said never as a player.

i felt like booing at the tv tonight at their lack of effort.

majority of those players lack a backbone if they had one yes we would have lost but the loss would not have been so big

it is almost like OK we have lost this i will just go thru the motions

It could have been worse. After watching that game it's hard to find anything positive about it but there was. The Sixers outscored the Bullets in the 3rd quarter. They could have played 4 lousy quarters, instead they only played 3. 4 lousy quarters would have meant a loss of 50 or more. Also thanks to Farley's 3 point shot on the final buzzer, it stopped the Sixers going down to their worst game this season. Its still little consolation. I just hope they played tonight with the lack of interest in winning this game because I would hate to think that this was the best effort they could have put into it. It would really leave you worried about the finals series if they honestly could not play any better than this. But what also concerns me is that if they weren't interested in winning this game, why in the hell did they embarass themselves with such a huge loss. A loss by 10 points would have been more honourable.

exactly EC

they showed no determination tonight to contain brisbane

i think in the 3rd quarter they 'contained' brisbane

whoever they meet in the finals will have a bigger edge cause there is a long way back from the drubbing they got tonight

brett is a great player he would have made a difference but i don't think he would make the forty points

there was no heart,no fight and i was disgusted by the majority of players lack of effort.
