Cattalini, Mee and Burgess are costing Cairns a lot more than Maher, Farley and Rychart! Any one of those Cairns guys is on more than any Adelaide player.

How do you know this Isaac? How does anyone know what salary is paid to players. All I know is that if the Sixers give up Dusty, they better be able to replace him with a consistent 20 points & 10 rebounds scorer. Otherwise, what have they achieved? You can't save money in areas that are highly productive and be successful. Pay peanuts, get monkeys.

Rychart is one of the league's most conistent forwards but Black said the Taipans needed a genuine centre and if free agent Chris Burgess did not re-sign, they would recruit a 'Chris clone'.

"We've made our mind up, we'll get an import five whether its Chris or not Chris," Black said.

The player would have need to be a genuine five-man to help bolster the Taipans' rebounding -some thing that was a weakness for the team this season - ruling out four-man Rychart out of the equation.
