NBL Finalists for MVP named, no Sixers

Tigers skipper Chris Anstey is the favourite to take out the 2006 NBL Most Valuable Player award.

He is one of five finalists announced including CJ Bruton (Sydney Kings), Larry Abney (Townsville), Cortez Groves (Wollongong) and Shawn Redhage (Perth).

The award will be announced on March 10.

No surprises there. No Sixer truly deserves to be in the running.

If they had any class Paul Rees would surely have been nominated and should be an odds on favorite. Its not his fault that he did not get enuff minutes this year!
