Schensch, from outhouse to penthouse

Luke's Number Called - story about Luke Schenscher in The Advertiser today.

The affable Schenscher has gone from the outhouse to the penthouse, leaving behind the D-League's old arenas, crowds of 100-to-200, tiny locker-rooms, 10-hour bus rides and $24,000 salary.

"Now it's five-star hotels, your own suite, private charter flights," Schenscher said.

And a pro-rata percentage of the $770,000 rookie salary.

"It's a bit different from some of the cockroach-infested places we stayed at in the D-League," he said.
He makes an interesting comment about what it was like playing with some other NBA-hopefuls in the D-League near the end of the article.

Schensch is the man! He's just an all round good bloke and anyone who has met him would agree with me. Good to see a down to earth REAL Aussie in the NBA, Dont know of any others...
