I see we still have the NYE game. Against Perth this year.

Only have to wait until 25th October til we get the Dragons at home too.

Every team will play each other 3 times throughout the season.

skip - yeah, I saw a draft of the schedule and the Singapore game and then NYE game were the things I spotted first. Interesting that the Sixers were the first team to play the Breakers in NZ as well! Just a coincidence? ;)

Hope the regional victoria game against the Dragons on Feb 7th is like Mildura. Nice easy game to get over for.

Other interesting games will be the Boxing Day Melbourne Derby at Vodaphone Arena. They supposedly will have the roof open wqeather permitting for that one.

Also 6th November when Sydney and the Dragons play. Should be Heals first game against the Kings.

Also see we dont have any Sunday arvo games. Only Sunday game infact is the NYE game.

I've decided I like it. :-)

Skip, when the Sixers played NZ first up, being a historical game, the club organised a trip for fans who were interested through the travel agent they were using at the time (not sure if they still use them). It was a fantastic trip but I thought quite expensive. We could have done it more cheaply ourselves but we did get 5 star accomodation (Sky City Auckland), transport from the hotel to the game and also a drinks and nibbles session with the players after the game at our hotel. It would be good if something like this is done again as this game is of equal importance. I will wait and see if the club does anything about it and if not, I will put my name forward to look into some costs as a group and call for expressions of interest.

Hey, that's great that we're playing the Singapore Spithoods first up.

Now, who do I see to collect my winnings for coming up with the new Singapore nickname? ;)

I have already had a bit of a look at costing. Its a bit more expensive to fly to Singapore than Auckland unfortunetly. I use to work in the Hotel Industry though and I can still get Staff Rate at some hotels in Singapore though only for upto 2 rooms (4 People). I am definetly interested tho. Got a few months to save up yet. Would just need to justify it to my other half. Just had enought trouble jusifying going to the ANZAC Day game at the MCG.

I see the NBL still likes to give new franchises their first win by scheduling an early sixers game.

Can anyone list all of the new franchises that have chalked their first win against us?

Schedule has been changed slighty at the request of some teams.

Sydney and Townsville homes games have been swapped around for the Sixers.

We are now playing Sydney in our first home game of the season on the 27th September and Townsville on the 20th October.

I think thats good thing to have Sydney as our opener. Should hopefully draw a much Bigger crowd than the crocs would have.

That'll be a good first game - lots of S's too - Sixers vs Sydney plus the new 06/07 Seals...

Any other S's that you can think of?
