Bogut Watch....Drew closes in on tripple double

Andrew Bogut came very close to his first tripple double with a very strong personal performance against the Atlanta hawks. Whilst Milwaukee lost (114-120) bogut scored 24 points 12 rebounds and 7 assists in 38 minutes.... his numbers of the past 3 games have been 17 and 6 rebounds 18 and 1 rebound + tonights game... he is being asked more of by his coach and has become a more adequate scorer (atm at least) this loss puts a question mark over the bucks in the playoffs.

wonder what the deal is with the higher scoring? maybe he senses the playoffs? maybe the coach is actually running plays for him? if he keeps this form up he will be dangerous next year in the NBA and a star for the Boomers in the WC's

Bell is playing more and from what i have read he is more inclinded to pass and look for others, TJ seems more shoot first, maybe he is getting more passes and not passing back out? Whatever it is he needs to keep putting them together and build his confidence back and demand the ball or he will never get it.

Hate to be nit picking on your post Joshua but I don't know if Bogut has lost his confidence at all - the fact that he may be getting the ball more in the post is great, but if he isn't doesn't mean that his confidence may be get down etc - that may be the way the coach wants to run the offence or the guards are just being selfish.

We all know he can score on the low block, but that depends on whether he gets the ball - it ain't a confidence issue - if it was, he wouldn't be in the league.

Yep, you're spot on smelty, that's why he only shot 26 from 34 field goals for the week. That's 76% for those who don't carry a calculator in their top pocket.

He's also the only rookie starter who'll be in the playoffs.
