Woodville vs South - tribunal appearances pending

Well, the dust wont settle on the Woodville vs South mens game just yet

South won 115-76, with Mark Fuller being ejected in his first game for South, and then KB being tossed with a triple tech during the final quarter.

Nathan Durant and John Clover were conducting a chocolate wheel clinic tonight, and every time you went to an end of the court, you just didnt know what they would spin up on the wheel of refs. Offensive fouls for the defensive team setting illegal screens, no calls on obvious hacks, shooting fouls for hand checks, you just never knew what was going to happen.

Was a really disturbing display of umpiring, which whilst it seemed to favour South to the naked eye, the stats show it was a pretty evenly sided foul count (Woodville 36 - South 31).

Will be interesting to see what comes of it

It was also a really disturbing display of coaching by the woodville coach. No matter how bad it gets, a professional NBL player/coach should not get ejected.

Also very dissapointing to hear Kb's comments to Mark Fuller after the game, I would have thought someone of KB's experience and proffesionalism would have still hung around as a coach.

Wasl also disturbing to hear some of Scanlons comments made to both the crowd and the Woodville bench during the game as well.

Sure 51 points is an awesome game in anyones shoes, but have some humility lad!

Well surely that equates to if you can diss a player when your a championship coach - when can you?

The truth is neither situation is acceptable in professional sports. What does it acheive? Did it score any more points for the Panthers? Did it help Woodville any for KB to have words directed at Fuller?

No to both questions. It helped stroke the egos of the 2 people involved, probably 2 of the top 10 people in ABA that dont need their egos stroked any more than what they already are!!

Not many people can push Fuller's buttons - always professional as far as basketball is concerned - unquestionably never given a chance at woodville - such a talented underrated player.

When Scans is in a zone, he likes to talk it up, it gets him going even more. There are and were a lot of players like that out there that start to talk shit when they start to heat up. Some of the best players are shit talkers, Reggie Miller, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Gary Payton and even his majesty MJ.
It's nothing personal and it's even quite entertaining for the spectators.
Do you think there would of been millions of Australians watching the Mundine v Green fight if Mundine wasn't such a shit talker???

There certainly were plenty of sore losers there. Even the foul mouthed female???????? in the northern seats slinging abuse at the south supporters. Congrats to the south supporters for turning the other cheek and not responding.
