NBL on Channel 10?

Now that they have lost the V8s to Seven, any chance Channel Ten may take a punt on the basketball?

Yes misty is right but that question was asked in a previous post. Haven't we had enough TV posts?

How long do Foxtel have exclusive rights? You can't keep Basketball off FTA because Foxtel has indefinite rights. If that's the case, Basketball is not getting a fair opportunity for FTA. Its OK while the FTA stations are not interested and Fox is providing a service thats better than nothing, but opportunities also have to be given.

Sixers33, I can't believe you are complaining about too many posts, you are the one that is everywhere, between here and Oz Boads.

Also, Foxtel would love a feature match be on FTA, like the soccer, if they could get one game on FTA and people like it, they will buy fox to see the rest.

And I know for a fact that Fox are trying to do this with Soccer.

Sixers33 has only just found the fourm so hes gonna post anything and everything he can.

With basketball on FTA the networks keep saying it doesn't rate well. The NBL is run in summer- when the ratings don't count so the TV stations have no story to say they can't show basketball.

There may be no official ratings in the Summer but I they do still count from an advertising point of view. No comapny is gonna advertise their product on a show that no one is watching and No network is gonna put something on the air if they cant find people to advertise during it.
