Telfair traded

The Portland Trailblazer have traded Sebastian Telfair (Marbury's cuzin) to the Celtics for the #7 draft pick. Telfair will hopefully get more playing time with Boston and blossom into an All Star.

Couldn't believe this when I heard it. Seeming that Bassy was 'the future' when he was picked, I'm suprised they just went and traded him without really being able to prove what he can do.

No doubt, Telfair will become an AllStar within 2 years. Will compliment Peirce very well.

Life will become hard if Iverson lands in Boston though. If this happens Telfair could become the NBA's new generation of Chauncey Billups. Either way he will cause damage for opposition teams eventually in this league and not have to play behind Jarrett Jack!

The future now for the Tradeblazers is Jack, Roy and LaMarcus.

By loking at that roster, they would have to be the favourites for the number one pick in 2007.

Just think if they scored Greg Oden next year, their starters would be

Jack
Roy
Webster
Alridge
Oden

That five would grow into a chanpionship team for many years to come

I think the line-up of
PG - Steve Blake
SG - Juan Dixon
SF - Darius Miles
PF - Zach Randolph
C - Joel Pryzbilla (if re-signed)
Would have something to say about that (for now)

Personally I hope Greg Oden stays in college for 4 years. He's reportedly a really smart kid (All-American academically), so he should know the value of a good education. I see his as a more dominant David Robinson-type for years to come if he uses his full time at Ohio State. The NBA isn't going anywhere, so there's no need to rush.
