SAC new stadium

I've heard St Aloyius College have purchased the old tram barn in the centre of Adelaide to build a sports centre for their school.

Wouldn't this be a good opportunity for BASA to build a relationship with the school (with the help from two basketball coaches/ players who are teachers at the school) and build a good quality stadium that all basketballers could access.

Heard this place is huge and could fit many courts! Maybe this could be the centralised region for basketball on Friday nights!

Yeah that would be good. Hypothetically if say....

1 Pasadena floor boards had to be torn up or,

2 Pt Adelaide got flooded or,

3 the lights fell from the roof then

the games would still be on.

The whole area is not for St Aloysius use. Most of the site will be taken up by E&WS office buildings. SAC will only have one small area.

there will be 2 full size courts with upstairs viewing area and cafeteria

there will be 18 odd classrooms

shopping mall and new HQ for SA water

the adelaide catholic diocese own the land

carlee patterson and kamla lamshed are the teachers

they have plenty of top level district girls attending the school

i would imagine once the school realizes there will be some income after hours from the complex they will hop on board

the school has estblished some top quality business ventures and they will not let this go to waste

it would be of greta assistance to a district club's girls programme to be on the door step - with 1,000 girls at the school

just got to get the right people at the right time getting it to happen

Not only has Carlee gone but there are loud noises about St Aloysius not putting teams in the National schools tournament in future.
