Sturt vs Woodville

Was too late to catch the women's game, but the men won by 20-30. Got out to an early lead and didn't have much trouble with the Warriors, who were missing Puddifoot. Darren Ng had 30+ and pulled down 10+ boards.

Both teams and their supporters seemed to get quite frustrated with the apparent lack of calls from the refs.

Highlights were probably some giant fadeaways by Ng, Smylie racking up steals in the second half and a big dunk on the break by Oscar Forman. Cameron Wilson hit a few times from outside for Woodville and Reesy was decent early.

The men won by 32, 107-75. Woodville did not look like the championship team of last year. I wonder how much it has to do with Brooks and the time he now spends with the Sixers?

Missing Puddifoot, no import, Fuller gone - that's all it takes.

Only last week they beat the Eagles, who are clearly one of the top teams in the competition.

What's up with the Sturt coach. In the reffs ear all night and trash talking players.

EC, you're on the money. Last years success was reaping the rewards of Tracy's programme. This year ,apparent lack of respect for the younger players, hence the Fuller episode. Sadly good players don't always make good coaches.

Compare the side Tracy couldnt win a championship with to the one Kevin won one with.

"Lack of respect for the younger players"

So one player leaves, and it's lack of respect for younger players?

Yet, Reggie & Graves leave last year, amongst large whispers of dis satisfaction with York, and it is "reaping the success of Tracy's program"

Players like Mapunda have stepped up given the oppurtunities he was never going to get with York...Reeves as well.

Forgot to think before hitting 'post'??
