Can someone please advise the correct procedure for junior transfers. I believe this can be done by email. Who do you contact at Basketball SA

you don't contact BSA. You contact your clubs secretary, they will give you the paperwork, and then they will submit the transfer to BSA.

All you need to do is to write a letter to your club requesting a transfer.
If you're financial the club has 4 weeks to clear you.

Someone's not happy, must have got into a team that the parent does not like. Hope they asked the child whether he/she is happy or not

What do you do if your club suffers from nepotism? Is it better to stay knowing that you are languishing in lower divisions and all the selectors nephews, brothers/sisters, sons/daughters and friends not better then you plus some really good players (no bitching here) are enjoying better coaches, better competition and getting better experience or move. Which club select on merits any advice?

You'll find that all clubs select pretty much on merit. There may be the odd exception but that's at the margins.

We call that "a diference of opinion".

Find a club your child is happy at, don't worry about what division they are playing. so long as they enjoy the game, they are keen to go, that is all that should matter in juniors. If they are good enough eventually they will be recognised and play in a higher division

If you are ambitious and can play higher , do it. If you are happy in lower grades , stay there.
If you believe that life's fair and merit is always the only ingredient in selection you are probably playing the wrong sport.
You have to make it happen because there is always, repeat always a hidden agenda that is neither right nor wrong, just there.
All clubs have backs to scratch and dues to be called in , in all levels, its called networking and though we like to think we are all above it,most of us both benefit and lose out to it on occassion.
You have to learn to compete on a less than level playing field and thats the edge.
