Three pointers suck (apparently)

We all remember how well Team USA shot the three at the Olympics - and now here's US basketball's way of fixing the problem. It's easy: just get of the 3-point line! That way we can no longer shoot 3s poorly, because they don't exist.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/basketball/nba/10/14/three.ap/index.html

Based on this, I hereby suggest other ways that US basketball can improve:

*Move backboards to bottom left-hand corner of each baseline, so kids don't need to dribble on their left hand;

*Ball movement, ball reversal, jumpshots and post moves are all banned. The only way people can score is by putting the ball on the floor, trying to break their defender's ankles and then taking it to the rack;

*All international competition is now in street-ball format, with Team USA consisting solely of those clowns from the And 1 videos who can dribble with their elbow, knee or head (often all at once) but can't shoot from outside the keyway.

low post wars

i agree. NBA does lack low post wars these days.

thats the best thing about basketball. seeing to great centers tradeing basket for basket with a array of awesome low post moves.

thats were the game is won and lost, in the paint.

three pointers struggle get in the post

This was mentioned on ESPN'S 'Pardon the Interuption' as well, it isn't going to happen! They also talked about only being able to shoot 3 point baskets only in the last 5 minutes of the game!

Just ideas, nothing concrete.

Also, the three point shot is the sweetest thing about the game, two centers banging bodies is boring as hell, aka wacthing Shaq play!

Yeah, it's interesting watching Allen, Peja, Bibby etc seeing how far out they shoot. (Houston vs Sacrament) :P

Watching shaq in the post is the post exciting thing thing in the game.

threes are boring, watching players just camp on the arc and bombing threes away at a bad percentag. the physicality of the post is much more exciting
