Sixers Dragons Game Chat

Looks like we're off to a good start, up 34-23 after 2 minutes of the 2nd quarter.

Have we got the usual non-Adelaide-living suspects following the game on line this week as well? DJ, TR, Sturty6ers?

At the risk of jumping the gun I'm declaring this one all over with 2 minutes to go in the first half.

UP 53-32 with Horvath apparently having his way against the bigmanless Dragons not even Shane Heal himself can clean up the mess he's made.

Apparently Phil has seen it as junk time too closing the half with a 5 of Sutton, Hill, Ng, Mastro and Cooper.

Dragons closed the gap a bit for 55-38.

10 point game..... please don't tell me this is going to be a choke game or are we just playing with them.

Interesting to hear Pat ask a familiar question.

"Which NBL coach would of called a time-out after 6 points in 7 minutes".

Answer was everyone bar one. Guess who that one is.

2 techs and an ejection. Watching the game on Fox and i was screaming at Copeland. Get on with the bloody game!

Damn! Ingles KILLED the Sixers.
Cooper, nice Jam.

Horvath 10-10 unstoppable. Nice footwork.

Farley... well the dunk says it all. I love the dunk over Heal. It made my night! Some nice threes too.

Hill, great shooting!

Sutton, 2 threes and a great pass to Horvath for the jam.

Casey, bloody hell! Stop saying 'The Coach' Heal. We got the bloody point the 30th time you said it!

kavosy had the right frame of mind to beat us in the last but heal was stealing the ball from him like he placed the knife in prices back

If I were coaching (thank goodness I'm not), I'd be asking some serious questions from the guys out there. Yes the scoreline blew out, but where oh where was the ball that should have been going into Horvath in the 3rd quarter?

Like so many games this season, Horvath kills it in the first half and then they go away from him in the 2nd - and what do you know... fade out.

All it could have taken was a couple of the Sixers early threes in that last quarter to rim out, the Cooper charge to go the other way and the scoreline could have been totally different.

Against a better side, the Sixers will continue to look ordinary if they play like that.

Congrats go to Horvath, Hill, Sutton and especially Ingles. Boy that kid's got pace.

Loved Hills game, hard for the kid to do what he do when Phils ready to sub at any second, nice job.

Note to Phil: Big Guy in blue, wears 44 yeah he plays for us after half time as well, maybe use him a bit.

Ingles is awesome but that is where the Dragons talent ends. Career nite for Hobba, good call melvin.

Hey that guy who is number 44, maybe if u guys relaised he actually had someone leaning and wrestling him most times in the second and every time he did get the ball he was double teamed immidiately. Which is why he shoud pass it out for an open shot, nd then once the defend adjusts to the outside shooters once again, dum it back into horvath. The shooters must hit ther shots of course.

Yeah hill had his best game in a long time, hit some pressure three's and got some good looks to copeland and looked more composed. Think it helps him when sutton is on and he his not really obligated to work the ball that much. As a team we have to really work on dealing with the press as we look really shaky in that situation. Although the third quarter was bad i thought the resolve of the guys was good to get back in the game, fortunately our three's were dropping.

Farley? Just looked at the box score 9 of 22. Horvath 12 of 13. OK Ill admit im a big Horvath fan, but christ he can play. Pulled down 13 boards and didnt quit working the whole game. You didnt rate Coops game? 10 and 10, solid.

First time ive seen Sutts at NBL level, cool little SOB aint he? PG is all his, love to see drive and dish like he does in the ABA.

Dont know where Nash was tonite, did anyone see him? Maybe he was ill.

We should hopefully have a new episode of Seal'D out this week. Had a chat with several people tonight.
Farley loved his dunk on Heal.
Also spoke to Ninnis, Maher, Mark Cowan, KB, Carfino and a couple of others.

Heal refused to to be questioned. When asked, he said "Whatever" and walked off. Wasnt happy about the banner.

It said -

NBL LICENCE = $1,000,000
NBA ALL STAR = $500,000

Good game by the boys tonight. Farley loved his dunk, just ask him!

As Skip said we should have a new Seal'D out in the next week.

Great game by Cosmo, 12 of 13 from the field, can't ask for more.

This win should put us in good stead for our game against the Pigs.

Heal is a tool, I swear it was just Michelle Timms in drag out there tonight.

Horvath and Farley easily - as for Hill, I just felt he got his minutes and did his thing when the game was pretty much done and dusted.

Sure he still played well, the best we have seen him easily this season.

For me it's Cooper, solid game throughout and at times through that horror stretch he seemed to be the only one still giving 100%.

BTW why on several occasions did Nash give it off to Cooper (in the backcourt) to bring the ball down the court - both being defended, is Cooper our new 3rd ball carrier??
He's got a decent handle for a big guy, but surely Nash is a safer option in the open court - I'm struggling to remember the last time I saw Nash put the ball on the floor?

Reply #103227 | Report this post

Completely disagree.. His 2 threes, and the pass to Cooper for the 3 pt play were massive - and were what started our late spurt.
