See Shane Heal and Sam MacKinnon are being charged for fighting at last night's game. It will be interesting to see if Heal is still a protected species and gets off irrespective of any guilt.

A question for any legal eagles who may frequent the site:
If Mackinnon ends up getting rubbed out for matches, do the Melbourne Tigers have every right to be shitty?
They had to wear 21 points and 13 rebounds from Mackinnon - not to mention a loss to his team - the night after the offence.
Yes, he's supposedly innocent until proven guilty - but if he is proven guilty, the Tigers will still have to wear the loss. A tad unfair, in my book.

Bo, it's like being done for drink driving, and the Police disqualifying you on the spot. It goes against the basic principle of "innocent until proven guilty." The Court has to impose the penalty, not the Police.
In Sammy's case, if he is found guilty, he will serve the appropriate penalty handed down by the NBL. The fact that the Tigers game fell in between the incident and the penalty is irrelavent.

Channel 9 showed the footage this morning. To me it looked like they tripped over each other, but then when Sam tried to get up Heal put him in a head lock. Sam then reacted.
