If Newley or Ingles could get there, I don't think it'd be out of the question. Possibly working against him is that he's a bit older than Newley.

Will at least be an NBL standout for a while to come.

Unlike Newley or Ingles,
but like a few of the Kings younger roster members,
Barlow has already been coached by a current NBA Assistant,
one Mike Dunlap.

That's the only advantage I see that he might have over Newley or Ingles, but my pick of those 3 is Ingles.

Ingles, i definately think so
Newley, maybe a slim chance if he can bulk up a little, the talents definately there.....
barlow, could compete there but i see him having no chance at a roster.

Barlow's best attribute is his athleticism which is average at best for a SG/SF in the NBA. His ball handling isn't even close to NBA level.

I think Ingles has a good chance at the NBA due to his length, handles and shooting range.

i think before any of those 3 make NBA Patrick Mills will be the next australian in the pro's, he's going to college soon and he definetly has the physical and skill attributes needed for the NBA.

Umm, Patrick Mills won't be the next Aussie in the NBA, for the simple fact that he's not playing college ball until next year.

Then on top of that, he's commited to a mid-major college (the same one as Dan Kickert I think). Which means it will be harder to get a look in. Just look at Kickert, he dominated for St. Mary's, yet went un-drafted.

He may someday make it, but he's probably at least 3 or 4 years of it.

But back to Barlow. I doubt he will make it. From what I've seen of him in the NBL(which, isn't a whole lot, mind you) he only seems to be a jumpshooter without much else.

Plus, in the World Champs campaign, including the New Zealand series, he just didn't look like a smart baller. He drove to the hoop and got their easily enough, but just looked like he didn't know what to do when he got there, and then usually stuffed up.

Not to mention that little play against Greece...:-)

This is only his second year though, and Goorjian thinks he's improved out of sight in just that short span. if he keeps improving at that level he might be able to compete in the NBA soon enough

Chuck Norris doesn't play in the NBA; the NBA plays with Chuck Norris.

(oh dear, the worst I could come up with).

So, the vibe I'm getting here is that he's a good athlete but not a smart baller - he's got NBA written all over him!!

someone said balll handling? wtf! his ball handling is crazy for a 6ft9 guy! he works on it something ridiculous like 4 hours a day.NBA? hmm im not sure hes big hes strong but I think his shot needs to be automatic and also a better driver and quicker.

RE KENT BROCKMAN:

everyone loses their concentration at some point in the game and every great pointguard loses the ball but 95 percent of the time barlow doesent lose it

and thanks for mentioning greece coz if ya think about it, he must be pretty good if goorgian has him on the court in a 1 point game in the world championships

Tommy, he was on the Boomers because he was playing for the Sydney Kings then.

Now he isn't playing for the Kings, thus he is not playing for the Boomers.

Since you won't get what i am saying...

GOORJIAN FAVOURS HIS OWN PLAYERS.
