Adelaide Quit Lightning won battle of the top teams tonight, defeating Canberra 81-75 in a hard fought contest.
Erin Phillips top scored for the home side with 19, along with 7 rebs, 6 assists on 6/12 shooting. Foley had 16 and Gahan 15 (and 13 boards!)
Lauren King, Neridda Cooper and Rebecca Duke all had strong positive influences when inserted into the game as well.
Bevilaqua top scored for the game with 21 and 6 assists, Bishop had 18 and 3 blocks and Beatty 14 with 7 rebounds.
Bad news for Adelaide fans in Kristen Rasmussen went down midway through the second term with what possibly may be a fractured ankle, speaking to Chris Lucas after the game, early prognosis has her out minimum 3-6 weeks if it is just a soft tissue injury, but they are fearing the worst.
Was an excellent game, with a decent sized crowd in, including a lot of the North and Woodville juniors who stayed after their curtain raiser game.
