Thought SASI was defunct and had no funding so who is paying for the coaching director and co to go BSA?? Or do the players fund this in their costs? When are the tours?

Parents pay 5-6 thousand for around 3 weeks of basketball against indifferent opponents and some occasionally good teams. Great experience but if you want to go stateside there are better ways of doing it. They go to 3 countries for lightning stop overs, Germany and France being the other two countries.
These trips are not what they were as once they were funded and cost ziltch but such is the way of things.
Some think it's a bit of perk for the coaches et al and those who have been on these trips differ in opinion about it's worth. It has developed into taking those who will go rather than those who are the best because of those differing opinions and also because a lot of girls,in particular, prefer the schoolies week. Schoolies, now That really does put the value of the trip into some perspective. For the last couple of years The Gliddons and Mrs Holland have taken the group.
