Majstrovich, KB open NZ NBL with a win

Adrian Majstrovich suited for his NZ NBL side last night, the Wellington Saints, as they opened the season with a 98-79 win over the Auckland Stars. The win gave NZ NBL rookie coach Kevin Brooks a 1-0 start with the Saints' reins.

Majstrovich had 20 points and 14 rebounds.

The Stars will gain Dillon Boucher at the conclusion of the Australian NBL finals series, while the game also featured NBLers Lindsay Tait, Casey Frank and Andrew Rice.

Sometimes he did. In the NZ NBL, he'd be playing more minutes and against competition of a slightly lower standard.

If Phil Smyth knew how to use his players, instead of giving them 25 mins one game and then 10 minutes the next A.J probably would have had a better season.

Instead we had an american big guy we never used, an american point guard who only cared about himself and a couple other players who should have retired a couple years ago.

Brett Maher being the exception as he is the man.

Majstrovich is a former league MVP in the NZBL.
