Washington State to tour NSW, QLD, ACT, NZ

Just got a press release from Basketball Australia about an upcoming tour of NCAA Div 1 team Washington State, from June 4-16.

Unfortunately for those of us in SA, they'll only be playing in NZ (vs Breakers Academy), ACT (Boomers dev), NSW (Waratah All-Stars, Sydney Kings) and QLD (Southern Districts Spartans, Cairns Marlins).

Shame we won't get to see them in SA. This tour has been organised by Basketball NSW, Horizon Sporting Events and BA.

Anyone know much about the team? They have Aron Baynes, a 6'10" C from Cairns, but I don't recognise any other names from their roster.

Yep Baynes is a rep for NZ team. I think that is one of the reasons they are stopping off there and possibly to scout future players for the college.

The WSU Team played the Breakers Academy which is full of mostly 17-19 year old men who are asipring to play for the Breakers. The Academy lost 80-56 or something.

final results indicates the WSU team lost only 2 games to sydney kings and the australian national team..but onlt by 1 point. Were both these teams at full strength or not...Because how could the full australian national side nearly lose to a college team(WSU are good but you would have thought the aussies would have killed them)
