Johnny gets the biscuits
Sabonis is the answer.
Amazingly drafted twice once in 85 and then again in 86. Atlanta could not add him due to political sanctions against the USSR at the time and so lost the pick.
Double amazing is that he did not play in the NBA til 9 years after he was drafted by Portland when he was runner up ROY and 6th man.
No doubt in my mind he would have changed a lot of results in the NBA had he played in his prime.

Awesome player even with busted up wheels... A lot of guys who played against him on the Soviet Union Team - said he was one of the greatest Centers they ever saw... One D. Robinson included...

One of the best things about Sabonis is that despite being 7'3" tall, he could play a power game... yet also play a even more devasting finese game, even having a maximum shooting range of 25ft, nailing NBA three's at a fairly good percentage over his career, and being possibly one of the best passing centres of all-time. It was truly a shame that he didn't play more seasons in the NBA, could have won a number of championships, but will still get into the Hall of Fame one day quite easily.
