Tigers to retire Copeland's singlet

Spotted this in Boti's All Star Game write-up:

The Tigers turned on a quality night and they will do it all again next Wednesday when the 36ers are here to face Melbourne. The club will retire Lanard Copeland's No. 21 singlet and raise it into The Cage rafters alongside Andrew Gaze's 10.

Will make a great achievement for Lanard. Has had a decent season to date as well.

Well deserved honour for Copeland. The man in his prime was sensational and is still amazingly servicable given his age,

The last time a Sixer player had his singlet retired by an opposing team from memory was none other than Phil Smyth by the Canberra Canons.

I think we were beaten by about 40 pints in that game. Don Monson was coach at the time, my favourite Sixer coach.

Lets hope history doesn't repeat.

The Tigers could well be without either of their imports if Lampley isn't in action by then.
