Duno about the mens section, but in the womens draw VIC metro will have a tough time. They're taking a massively undersized team and will struggle against any presence inside. are Cayla and the other SA institute girls still young enough to play 20's state?

Really tough comp this week.
VIC Metro in the Men will be tough - the win over WA Met proves that. My tip is the final between them and QLD South.
Women is a different story - could go anywhere.

FWIW - there's no metro/country or north/south (in QLD's case) at U20's.

Having said that, VIC, WA, NSW & QLD all have the personnel to take out the mens comp IMO. Should be a close one the whole way.

The live scores for the U20 nationals are awesome. They have all the players listed for both teams, there are only 5 players for each team on the court at any time and they update about every 15 seconds.

A certain national league (cough) should have a look and hang their heads in shame.

OK so the traffic for the U20s would be negligible, but they show you can at least get the team lists right, and include playing time on the box score.

They include shot charts and stats on points in the paint, second chance points and points off turnovers - everything an armchair expert could wish for!

DaddyO - LiveStats has been running for the WNBL all season, and was available for the School Nationals as well.

The NBL will follow very shortly. There are still bugs to be ironed out with the program itself (IE - doing actual stats with LiveStats isn't quite as user friendly as it was on Cybersports, but they're getting there). It will also be introduced for the upcoming ABL season. Whether the stats get broadcast live on the net is dependant on the clubs/stadiums getting an internet connection up & running at their venues.

Live Stats will also used in Big V conference this year should you wish to check it out.

I find it bizarre that the WNBL, junior and school competitions can provide reasonable live stats while the main professional league cannot.

I've got VIC to win in the mens, and probably VIC to win in the womens, closely challenged by NSW and SA (close but not quite).
Bloody VICS.

nbl were approached at the same time as the WNBL to use the Livestats software. NBL decided to stay with cybersports and the fantastic sportal webstats (hahahahaha). WNBL however decided to go with the new FIBA sanctioned stats program. CLearly it is not hard to work out who made the right decision. NBL have been left with massive eggs on their face from the decision.

Livestats has been introduced into the ABA leagues this season so we will be able to see live stats from all SEABL, Big V, QABL, Central and Warath games. Although it is not compulsory for all leagues/teams to go live to the web, so you may only see some game slive on the net.

NBL will have to go to livestats next season otherwise they will lose many more fans !!!
