NBA Draft Top 10 Predictions 2009

We do this every year so I thought I would get in early. Everyone have a crack - pick what you think will be this year NBA Draft Top 10. You get 1 point for getting a player in the top 10, 2 points for getting the player in the top 10 and in the correct draft position and 3 points for getting # 1 correct. In case of a tie - select what pick Patrick Mills will go.

1. LAC - Blake Griffith
2. Mem - Hasheem Thabeet
3. OKC - Ricky Rubio
4. Sac - Tyreke Evans
5. Was - James Harden
6. Min - Brandon Jennings
7. GSW - Stephen Curry
8. NYK - Jordan Hill
9. Tor - Earl Clark
10 Mil - DeMar DeRozan

Patrick Mills - Pick 37 SA

Mills #30 to Cleveland

This draft is nearly impossible to predict. Washington are looking at moving their pick, OKC is open to moving theirs. Portland and Chicago want to move into the lottery.

I think Brandon Jennings is this years slider. Mainly not due to talent, more due to positional needs of teams.

Clips are going Griffin, no doubt, Memphis is alright at the PG, but have more need of a centre.

OKC is set at point with Westbrook.

Sacramento will address that position with Rubio.

Washington are set with Arenas.

Minnesota could use an upgrade, but the potential of Evans will win then over.

GSW are a train wreck, Monta has stated that he wants out of GSW draft a PG. I think they take Curry and market him as a SG.

Knicks love the size of Jrue. He's bigger than Jennings and is way better on defence.

Raps are set with Calderon, and really need wings.

Bucks will be taking a PG, and it's a toss up between Jennings and Flynn. I think Flynn's leadership qualities get him over the hurdle.

Nets have Devin Harris.

Bobcats have Felton and DJ. The Cats could go with a PG and then do a sign and trade using Felton. The Cats really need a SG.

Pacers are in need of a PG and if Jennings (or Flynn) are around will pick them up.

BTW, how average is the NBA draft site this year? Apparently Blake Griffin's 6'3", Patty Mills and Luke Nevill are both American and half the stats are incorrect.

NBA.com has deteriorated significantly in the last year. As far as I know they have outsourced a lot of the management of it, to it's detriment.

Not big on this draft at all, I think some of the touted higher picks are highly over rated and I can see a lot of trades going down. Also a lot of players are refusing workouts at Memphis and have made it publicly known that they don't want to go there, so they either trade the pick or stuff it up somehow.

1. LAC - Blake Griffin
2. Mem - Ricky Rubio (rights traded)
3. OKC - Hasheem Thabeet
4. Sac - James Harden
5. Was - Jordan Hill
6. Min - DeMar DeRozan
7. GSW - Tyreke Evans
8. NYK - Stephen Curry
9. Tor - Jrue Holiday
10 Mil - Johnny Flynn

21. New Orleans, Patty Mills.
I also think Luke Nevill and Joe Ingles will get picked up late in the second round.

Such a hard draft to pick..

1/Griffin
2/Thabeet
3/Rubio
4/Evans
5/Harden
6/Hill
7/Curry
8/Holiday
9/J.Johnson
10/Flynn

Keep reading Raptors want James Johnson or Demar Derozan. Because Im a Raptors fan and want Demar DeRozan, that means they'll get JJ.

2 - 10 could all be different. Looking forward to friday
