Emu's in Semi Finals at U19 World Championships

The Aussies kept their unbeaten record intact today when they accounted for France 79-73 in their sudden death quarter final.

Matt Dellavedova came up big again in the win, top-scoring for the Emu's with 18 points, whilst Cody Elliss had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Brock Motum had 11 points and Jason Cadee had 10 in the 6-point win.

The Aussies trailed by 3 at quarter time before unleashing a monster 28-15 second quarter to lead by 10 at the main break. the French cut the margin back to just 5 points at 3 quarter time and despite their best efforts, the French were not able to overcome the determined Australians!

Australia now face Greece in the semi final on Saturday, with a win guaranteeing the Emu's a medal and a shot at gold. Greece defeated Argentina comfortably today to progress to the medal round earlier today.

Come on Aussies! Go Emu's!
