Double Trouble for the kings and hawks

Matt Knight and Jesse Wagstaff to boost struggling Wildcats

Glen Foreman From: PerthNow February 8th ,2011

WILDCATS centre Matt Knight is a man of few words, but he didn't need to recite War and Peace when he delivered the "all clear" news this morning.

Knight was yesterday given the green light by team physiotherapist Dave Philpot to resume full training and is expected to take part in the weekend roadtrip to NSW, with matches against the in-form Sydney Kings on Friday night and the Wollongong Hawks the following evening.

The welcome dose of good news could not have come soon enough for the Wildcats, which on Sunday lost their third consecutive game - the second in a row at home.

Knight, whose recovery is about a month ahead of schedule, is expected to be joined on the trip east by fellow big man Jesse Wagstaff, who has recovered from a serious ankle injury.

As long as they wear the Nike Hyperize, they're only a moment away from another injury.
