Hinder cleared by NBL tribunal
Russell Hinder is clear to play in Townsville's next game after being cleared by the NBL Tribunal following a official complaint by the Cairns Taipans.
The NBL office received a formal complaint from the Taipans on Tuesday afternoon regarding an alleged elbow by Hinder to Cairns player Alex Loughton during the second quarter of the Taipans' 81-74 loss to the Crocodiles at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre on Sunday afternoon.
The issue was then referred to the tribunal for a ruling which came back as:
After viewing footage of the incident and speaking to match officials, it was determined that there were insufficient grounds to charge Hinder and he therefore had no case to answer.
Hinder is therefore free to play in Townsville’s next match.
