Doing a Year 12 assignment researching for a elite athletes under 25, the factors which contribute to a successfull knee reconstruction rehabilitation, just wondering if anyone has any input

My son has just turned 16 and had the stitches from his knee reco out today
Doctors and physios advice for best recovery
DONT RUSH IT AND DO IT BY THE BOOK or they will see him again and it wont be good news
8 - 12 months (closer to 8 for elite) rehab is the better outcome than back in 6 - 8 and have it recur a few months later.

this is a really good question!
Factors i think would include;
- physio
- surgeon
- type of graft used for the ACL reconstruction
- perhaps the person weight, height, age?
There are so many factors, how these factors contribute would be another good question?
