Cairns announce Brad Hill signing

Cairns have announced Brad Hill is coming back to the club on a one year contract. Good news for the Taipans I think!

Also an article today about recent signing Cam Gliddon. Seems he was heavily chased by the Wildcats but chose Cairns instead.

Taipans looking the good this season with a back up PG and import big man the only remaining pieces.

Happy to have Hill back for us. Starting spots are going to be tough and we should have more depth on the bench than we have has for years. Well balanced team.

Odd that they waited a few weeks to announce this!

And Loughton was announced after it happened. Maybe just spreading out the signings.

Good wildcard signing for a team like Cairns.

With a couple of young guys coming in it will be good to have experience guys like Hill and Grabau so there is not so much pressure on them

Agree Isaac. We knew up here it was coming & it's nice to have him in the fold! May have needed to settle for less cash due to Trigger.

Cairns looking very legit!!

I don't think you will see Dean back. Great guy but club going in different direction.

No Dean B, no Dowdell and question marks on Kerry - his QBL form has been patchy but he will be given time to show if he wants it bad enough. He was offered a contract but wanted to test FA to get more $$$. With Tyson Demos and Lindsay Tait (young guys like Hussey could also get in) unsigned he has some competition to partner Jamar (who wouldn't want to partner the Smiling Assassin ?)

Great to see him signed up for the next season.

How's his twittering going?

I'd like to see Demos in Cairns, but he co-owns a restaurant in Wollongong & has strong ties to the area. So he may be Hawks/Kings (wont happen) or nothing..

Great signing. His penetration and rebounding is exactly what Cairns need to complement the other guys.

We really like the Taipans aggressive moves in the offseason. So much so we decided to talk about it on our podcast

Taipans had their run with (Did he actually ever shoot?)Tait, very ordinary and won't be taking him.

Great signing for Cairns.

Even better for my 36ers! If Cairns have him then we won't have to watch him missing layups all season.
