current or former?
Sammy Harris (7'3) i think it the tallest by a inch over Neville (7'2)

current Pledger (7'0) & Schenscher (7'1) are the biggest

Nevill is an NBL player again, just signed with Townsville.

So it's Nevill>Schensch>Pledger

Pledger and Schenscher are both listed between 213 and 216 in various places. I think they are both around that 215-216 mark though.

Where did Sam Harris end up? Is he still playing anywhere?

This list is according to the NBL website, placed in order of height. Nevill isn't listed as yet but I've included him since he's signed with Townsville:

Luke Nevill - 218cm (7'2), 120kg
Luke Schenscher - 216cm (7'1), 120kg
Alex Pledger - 213cm (7'0), 113kg
Daniel Johnson - 212cm (6'11), 108kg
Ben Allen - 211cm (6'11), 113kg
Matt Burston - 211cm (6'11), 103kg
Ian Crosswhite - 210cm (6'11), 115kg
Pero Vasiljevic - 209cm (6'10), 115kg
Cameron Tragardh - 209cm (6'10), 106kg
Russell Hinder - 208cm (6'10), 110kg
Seth Scott - 208cm (6'10), 109kg

That is every current (or incoming) NBL player who is 6'10 or taller. I have left out development players Lachlan Winter (Tigers) who is 211cm (6'11) and Matthew Andronicos (Taipans) who is 208cm (6'10) simply because they're not likely to see much, if any, game time this year.

The Wildcats and Hawks are the only teams in the league without a player who is 6'10 or taller. Their tallest players are Jeremiah Trueman and Larry Davidson respectively and they are both 206cm (6'9).

I've only ever seen Nevill listed as 216cm which is 7'1" not 7'2". The NBL also had a habit of listing the 7'3" Sam Harris as 7'4".

Schenscher, Nevill & Pledger are all 7'1".

Have to admit I've only ever seen Nevill listed at 218cm (7'2), be it on the NBL or Indiana Pacers site.

And I have to make a correction on Alex Pledger. The NBL site actually lists him at 215cm (7'1), not 213cm (7'0).

I read 'heaviest' and my mind instantly turned to Pero Cameron. I know he isn't a current player but surely one of the heaviest in history

Ontario Lett would have to be up there too.

Tallest all time.

Sam Harris? followed by Andy Campbell.

Heaviest all time is an interesting one.

Maybe Utoff.

Norman Taylors arse probably weighed 80kg on its own.

I remember the kings having a couple of solidly built imports in the early 00s. Their names escape me.

Acie Earl? He was a big unit.

Jerome Beasley probably would've given Earl a run in the fat stakes too.

One not mentioned is former Geelong import Jeff Arnold. He was all muscle and not sure I've seen a bigger unit in the NBL before, Uthoff included.

Pretty sure he was in the dunk comp when the all-star game was in Adelaide not the most recent time but the one before that, 1995 or 96.

Sammy Harris is playing SEABL for north west (off the bench), the NBL did list him as 7'4 for some strange reason. but his only 7'3
the Earl weight bloomed out here with kings staff worried about it.
there were reports of him getting up to 160kg. I don't think there was anyone as big of a unit than that

i think the question needs to be asked former or current.

From a heaviness aspect - Dean Uthoff is the obvious one, but a couple of obscure entries historically would be Cory Reader and Jason Eversteyn. Both enormous human beings.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how tall Willie Simmons is? I read one news article where it claimed he was 210cm (6'11), yet from what I've heard and read elsewhere he was a legitimate 7 footer at around 213 or 214cm.

As for the heaviest.....I know he wouldn't have been the heaviest in the league but he would have been close to the heaviest for his height...how heavy was Chris Blakemore?

Todd Mundt who use to play for the Newcastle Falcons was tall timber as well. I seem to remember he was listed as 7"1 or though on Wikipedia he was listed as 7 feet and weighs 250 pounds.

Yes, Simmons was 6'11".

Blakemore was only 6'6" though, Jeff Arnold was musclier and a good 6'10" FWIW.

Chuck Kornegay- was not tallest at 6"9 but he was certainly one of the heaviest at 235 pounds. The guy was a big drink of water, in my opinon I thought Kornagay was unlucky not to be given a chance in the NBA.

David Van Dyke- was also a big beast at 6'10 and 240 pounds.

235 is only 106 or 107 kgs, that's not much more than Sam Mackinnon or Anthony Petrie. Alex Pledger is about 120 now or 265. Pero Cameron was a lot more than that and Acie Earl must have been too!

Pero Cameron was too short at 6'6" but Acie Earl at 6'10" especially with the gut he had would've been over 300 pounds.

Pero Cameron was around 130kg! That's not too far off 300. He is just huge all over, as unmovable in the post as Shaq.
