Extra Incentives for NBA All-Star Game

Old article, but I stumbled upon this today:

http://www.nba.com/2012/news/features/steve_aschburner/02/25/all-star-game-preview/index.html

Essentially, losers receive the usual $25k, but instead of the usual $50k for the winners, they receive a cool $1mil each! How would this affect the brand of the NBA All-Star game?

re: Extra Incentives for NBA All-Star Game

I don't think it would change the all star game that much because its there for them to have fun and entertain.

I would much prefer something like this done with the Dunk Comp. They need to find a way to get the top flight players in that.
