Steven Adams invited to the "Green Room" for Draft

NZ's Steven Adams has secured 1 of the final spots in the "Green Room" for the upcoming NBA Draft at New York's Barclay Centre.

Adams' call-up to the "green room" means he is viewed as a likely lottery (top-14) pick.

Most websites have him going between 10 and 14 with OKC getting the 12th pick.

the NBA surveys the GMs to see who they would likely pick in the draft so they know who to invite to the green room - good sign but still no certainty

Should go top 14 in a pretty weak draft claass just due to his huge upside.

Interesting that depending on the mock draft you look at the top 3/4 are all the same guys in different orders.

Really interesting draft year.

Interesting in terms of not knowing who will go where. Not so interesting in terms of talent.

At least one reasonably well-credentialled media type isn't a big fan:

Steve Adams is a great example of a player who might get drafted high and be out of the league soon bc he's not ready.

Yet watching him at combines and running drills would suggest otherwise.
In this year draft he is the fastest & strongest Centre by quite a bit.
I'd worry more about how much of a bust Noel is (he weighs as much as Deron Williams and wants to play in the paint?)

Agreed Mystro! Give Adams a few years and he will be more solid than Noel ever will be.

Adams is solid strong and healthy. He will last the season banging bodies and setting hard screens blocking shots.
Will all the other bigs in this draft last?
