Have a look at the schedule on livebasketball.tv

There is no mention of Australia v New Zealand

Does that mean it's definitely not being shown? Who have you asked?

Just highlights though. Not the whole game

Sky Sports NZ will have it all live, just saying ;)

Good one Mystro, enjoy!

Must say, the media coverage overall is very poor compared with what we would be seeing if this was Rugby Union or Soccer, for example...

Hoops is the second biggest world game behind soccer, for god's sake, to all the media moguls out there, get on it!!

We were never going to get the NZ-hosted games live on ABC - only a late-night highlights package. It's just the Australian-hosted games said to be shown live.

I don't know that the livebasketball.tv schedule on its own is enough to go by. Ask BA/etc about it.

Livesports is showing the double header live for $7.95. Does anyone know if you can watch it later if you purchase the games?

It's up now on livebasketball.tv schedule. What time will it be on here in Australia EST?

It says "game geoblocked in NZ, Australia" what does that mean?

bet365 or another betting site might be streaming live if they are betting on the game

The Oceania champs are usually not shown live on FIBA TV/livebasketball.TV in Australia because of the rights agreement with Fox.

I'm not sure that applies with the ABC, but just in case it does you can watch it live on ABC i-view:

abc.net.au/Iview

I'm pretty sure abc iview don't show live programming, though you'll probably be able to pick up a replay in the next few days.

Before buying that I would recommend flicking an email to livebasketball.tv to check it isnt blocked in Australia.

Basketball Australia are promoting Livesport as the way to watch the game live, so you would like to think that it's not blocked in Australia.

You would hope so, but on the livebasketball website it says geoblocked in Aus and NZ. I would check before hitting the pay button.

On a seperate note, who have you guys got starting tonight?

Delly, Patty and Jingles (and probably Andersen) being the obvious ones.

Does anyone know who got the starts against Butler?

I would say:

Andersen
Petrie/Bairstow
Ingles
Mills
Dellavedova

And I suspect Vucinic will go with the starters from the tour but I could be wrong.

Salt
Vukona
Te Rangi
Webster
Kenny

fstos, I very much doubt it. I would say 99%, almost 100% no.

Wouldnt it be typical of Basketball Australia if the game really is geo blocked due to the highlights being shown late at night on ABC1

Im pretty sure the game will be show on vipbox, I routinely watch rugby league games on it and generally speaking there always sky sports channels(UK or NZ depending on the link available).

The confusion is the difference between livebasketball.tv and livesport.tv.

I think BA is using livesport.tv as their online broadcaster so they can make a buck, meaning livebasketball.tv has to show it on delay in Australia. I think???!
