LeBron and Wade press conference

Always like watching the press conferences after the game; Coach Pop even more talkative than normal. Couldn't believe LeBron in his today though; off the court and responding to a loss says a lot about a person. Laughing, not answering questions, talking to Wade behind a hand.... besides that something I would see a 5 year old do, it was extremely unprofessional. People say greatest of all time but don't think MJ would have been that arrogant??

It doesn't surprise me.

Remember in 2011 when Lebron and Wade mocked Dirk for his sickness/flu like symptoms. Was very immature. Got a kick out of watching Dirk torch the Heat that series.

It is different when the journo attacks the athlete/team with the question being asked. Same thing happened at the end of the Spoelstra presser

I'm sorry but what would Pop say to a question like this? Seriously...

Pop would probably come back with a short snappy answer but the covering of the mouth and whispering, really??? These guys are paid millions of dollars and owe the fans and media (even ones that ask not so great questions) respect. They just lost a massive game and seemed to take it as a joke. Came across as arrogant.

LeBron just simply not in the same class as the greats like, Jordan , Magic, Bird, Dr J.

Always remember his last yr in Cleveland game 5 against the Celtics in the playoffs, when he just gave up. Never in my life had i seen that from any supposed great...in bball, league or any sport.

So much hate for Lebron. I just see him as a hardworking, charitable, team oriented and nice dude.

Yeah he can be immature and cocky (at the rarest of times these days), but keep in mind we have watched these guys grow up through there late teens and 20s. And before judging him on one press interview go to the vault and watch others first.

So many other great sportsmen have a free pass to be cocky - think Muhammed Ali cocky. But the hate for Lebron is huge. MJ wasn't cocky? - go to his acceptance speech for one of many examples.

Also tired of the references - 'MJ wouldn't have done that'. Who cares what MJ would have done, they are two different people. LBJ wouldn't wouldnt hit and abuse his team mates and be a jerk and cheapskate to every person he met.

Give the man some credit. He has worked hard to get where he is and has achieved greatness from hard work. He has sacrificed money to come to Miami where he put the strive to win before that (which is rare in the nba these days). He is one of the greats who is a team player, who is willing to pass and let his team mates have success. I have seen hundreds of press interviews and he has always been humble and put his team first in them. When I went to a game he stayed behind to talk to all of the fans while others left. Outside of ball he is a charitable guy and seemingly a big family man.

But I guess it doesn't matter what I say there will always been many haters of Lebron who won't get over the fact that he left Cleveland and televised it and said that he would win a bunch of championships- meanwhile your other greats such as MJ and Kobe get away with ...

Lebron appears to be most immature and arrogant when paired with Wade.

Jordan is the GOAT and yes, demanded certain things from his team mates. He didnt just give up because they werent good enough or jump ship and join forces with others to create a super team in order to win and then brag about winning 7+ Championships. Jordan didnt mock other players, nor did he label himself the king or chosen one.

Lebron can play but hes isnt in the same league as those before him.

Other NBA players have worked hard to get where they are and didnt have it easy growing up...you dont see them acting and carrying on like Lebron. No other player requests a police escort to get through traffic because they are late for a Jay-Z concert.

Quit making excuses for Lebron...the guy is a d!ck!

You are picking out certain tiny events and ignoring LBJs everyday behaviour.

1. Lebron didn't have an easy childhood. And he has worked hard
2. Lebron didn't call the police to escort him. The police were there and offered to do it
3. MJ punched his team mates and belittled them. As for people outside of his team he is well known for being a jerk to everyone and snubbing homeless and cheaping out on people.
4. You are chastising LBJ for changing teams. Big whoop every player changes teams.

Didn't bother watching the video, but supposedly it was a reaction to a toolish question from a wannabe reporter that no one has time for.

Also agree with anon that LeBron is not at his best when with Wade. Bosh, Battier, Allen etc are classier teammates beside him. I've noticed LeBron and Wade speak with their mouths covered on court a bit too, fearful of lip readers no doubt...

LeBron has improved - classier than he was. And Jordan is notorious for being a real dick anyway, but he wasn't immature in game or media situations.

I realise LeBron and Dwayne are bonafide super stars and paid the most at Miami, therefore they are dedicated the task of fronting the media after games, however could they not share this duty now and then?

If they would at least give them a break from it and present a new face to the media now and then it may have them treat it as less of a joke...

Seems we all get a bit sick of seeing the same players and the same comments, this works both ways IMO.

How good would it be to see the media talk to Bird Man and maybe young Cole, just for a change up??

1. Lebron didn't have an easy childhood. And he has worked hard

Alot of players didnt have an easy childhood and worked hard, they dont carry on like him.

2. Lebron didn't call the police to escort him. The police were there and offered to do it

Police were there but he asked them for the escort according to the report I read.

3. MJ punched his team mates and belittled them. As for people outside of his team he is well known for being a jerk to everyone and snubbing homeless and cheaping out on people.

I'm not suggesting what MJ did was right but Lebron is just as much a jerk. Its one thing to snub the homeless, another to snub the media.

4. You are chastising LBJ for changing teams. Big whoop every player changes teams.

Not chastising him, merely pointing out the greats dont do it & wouldnt brag about winning 7+

My comments as follows:

1. The recurring "he took less money to go to Miami" argument is baseless. Cleveland is a much smaller market - the Nike endorsement, and all the other endorsements would have increased dramatically when he went to Miami, hence the lost money from Cleveland has been more than made up for.

2. "seemingly a big family man." who left all his family and friends in Cleveland - you really have to understand the social status of Cleveland to understand how big of a 'stab in the back it was'. Cleveland is a relatively poor, blue-collar working economy, and the place that made up (Akron) is down the road.

3. "who won't get over the fact that he left Cleveland and televised it and said that he would win a bunch of championships". Why should they? It was not the right way to go about things and it was disrespectful.

4. "Give the man some credit. He has worked hard to get where he is and has achieved greatness from hard work." - That is the problem with you anti-hater police. You wrongly think that these "haters" don't believe he can play basketball/that he isn't very good. Id say a large number of haters respect and recognise his talent, however they don't like his personality/off the court antics. People don't forget "the Decision".

Compare him to Kobe, MJ, and many others and his attitude on and off the court stacks up very well, he may be different but he isnt any worse, he hasnt had the off court scandals either.

Re the decision tv show, yes it wasnt the best move, even he says that, but think about it at 25 years old, if someone offered you a truck load of cash to go on tv and announce who your next employer was going to be, i reckon most people would do it. Then take into account he donated a fair chunk of that money to charity. Not the greatest move to do the tv show, rubs fans up the wrong way, but hardly a big scandal in sports, i honestly cant beleive we talk about it still, compared the the countless other sporting scandals out there, if thats the worse he does in life than i reckon he has done bloody well for himself.

Also remember not many of us know what its like to grow up under the spot light/pressure, what was he 116/17? when he was called the next MJ and had his high school games televised. Considering that i think its amazing that he is as humble as he is, yes he is cocky as well but others including Kobe are worse imo and havnt grown up in that environment.

Not saying people have to love LeBron or he is perfect, but before bagging him or any other star, think about the things other players have done in the NBA and world sports, and i think you will find a guy like LeBron isnt too bad considering, he aint perfect, but no one is. If the worse he does is act a bit silly at a press conference or announce his next employer on tv well im ok with that, and i think we need to look in the mirror and realise most of us have done something worse in life.

I dont mind lebron all the greats have a bit of arrogance and hes the same but in general he seems ok. I hate the point though that he sacrificed money to go to miami, I mean honestly he sacrificed $5 mil but he still earns around $15 mil plus all the endorsements im pretty sure hes got enough money anyways.

I think these days everyone focuses on the personality too much. With social media and 20 sports channels trying to justify their jobs players are scrutinized so much more than the 90s

I bet Barkley, Robinson even Stockton have had bad moments.

Try do what I do and look at the player as a character from a computer game. They're there to entertain us solely on their talents on the court.

I love Kobe Bryant, don't give a toss that he allegedly raped some skank (who when tested had 2 different batches of semen in her) I love the mumba cause for the best part of a decade he owned everyone, his will to succeed was 2nd only to the goat MJ. We all grew up (born in 1980) loving MJ. Imagine to skeletons and stories about him if everyone had a smart phone back in the day when he was dominating.

Yeah LeBron fucked up with the decision but let's celebrate the fact we get to see a player who is like Magic on a fast break that jams like kemp is as quick as Tim Hardaway and weighs as much as David Robinson entertain us.

Lebron could have easily done a Carmelo and go to the market of New York, Chicago or Los Angeles and be counting way more money tax or not. The endorsements and extras in New York alone would be massive. And now there is talk of him taking another cut rather than change to max contract big market teams.

Almost every all star has changed teams (which they have the right to) and no one has blinked an eye but Lebron continues to get crucified for it.

Although it is probably irrelevant to the argument my definition of a family man is one who has stuck with his high school sweetheart, puts his kids first and looks after his mother. Leaving the fans behind boohoo. Meanwhile Paul George is knocking up strippers and trying to pay off abortions.

If you don't like Lebron because he announced he was changing teams on tv then you probably shouldn't like many players in the league. You can throw in and say that he did the horrific thing of saying he would win multiple championships but I think you need to lighten up a bit.

People like MACDUB are not going to change their opinion on Heat or LBJ so there is no point arguing. I have come across a lot of people who dislike LBJ and its just life - there are players you like and players you don't like.

"some skank"? You wanna maybe leave out the lady hate there duffman?

Back on LBJ - Does it matter whether the guy is a jerk or not? Kinda. These champions often behave idiotically and arrogantly off the court, but what separates them is that they're able to behave like professionals ON the court and get the job done. LBJ is a phenomenal player, there's no doubting that, but his arrogance and sulking when the game's not going his way is appalling. Game 1 is a pretty good example of that, and game 3 wasn't much better. Champions should lead through winning and losing, not just off their own personal victories. The unprofessionalism of James in the press conference just added insult to injury on that one.

I thought Lebron has been great in all the games this series and has been a leader throughout. Would be good if he didn't complain to refs as much though.

No laughing by LeBron and Wade today. Kudos though for the respect they showed to the Spurs and recognising that they were just the better team this year.
