Just curious, is there a reason the awards dinner is so long after the season? Most teams have played their last games two months before the Awards.
It is the week after juniors are all done that could be a reason. Could also be venue availability as well. It also gives clubs time to have their own presentaion nights as well.
For players at college it is not ideal but personally I think its great timing.
True. It does allow teams to do their own thing. But some players have already moved on to other clubs or already been sent packing. Makes for an awkard time if they still go.
Personally I reckon it should come forward by a couple of weeks.

It's actually only 2 weeks after all bigv finals have been played, youth league champs finish earlier due to allowing college kids to leave on time, but it's not 2 months after, maybe for those who don't make finals
23 august is the non YL grand finals. Dinner was 20 september
That's a long 2weeks lol
Be a few factors. Votes go out at the end of the season, then have to get trophies and other stuff done. Plus venue availability.

Yeah I agree a couple of weeks earlier would much better. A few people have been talking about that.
They send an email out every year for feedback on it like they do after the preseason comp. I am sure everyone can give their feedback.
