Andrej Lemanis

Excuse my ignorance and this isn't a shot at all to Andrej, but out of pure curiosity when does Lemanis do in between tournaments (Olympics, World Cup). Obviously I know the team start to prepare 2-3 months before the event itself but still he would have some major off time.

"As part of the new full-time role, Lemanis will also become the Head of the Men's Program at the Basketball Australia National Centre of Excellence at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra."

Last year he ran clinics across the country as part of his role and in support of various charities.

I'd imagine that Lemanis doesn't have "major off-time", not that he'd be complaining.

I think it's great that he's doing a lot of development work "in between tournaments", but I wonder if when he's coaching the Boomers he loses some of that game-hardened decision making that comes from being a day-to-day professional coach.

Full-time head coach, best talent for a long time = poor result at Worlds.

How on earth was a team without Bogut and Mills, and blooding major championship rookies like Motum, Jawai, Goulding, Broekhoff and Exum the best talent in a long time? I would say it was the best talent since 2012, but even that is debatable!

C'mon Paul, everyone knows that even the United States were afraid of Australia's talent. Good thing for them we didn't make it past Turkey.
