Boti NBL rankings

Boti NBL rankings crack me up.

Adelaide have had a higher ranking than the Breakers pretty much all year!

The Breakers will win the whole thing and Boti will still have them in the middle of the pack

8 (7) KINGS 9-14 - With no help allowed, it's a tough road to the finish line.

7 (5) UNITED 11-12 – Just not showing any heart or anything convincing.

6 (8) HAWKS 4-20 – Belted Melbourne and narrowly lost in Cairns. Flying now.

5 (6) CROCODILES 8-16 – Currently the best side out of the four, for what that’s worth.

4 (4) WILDCATS 14-10 – Trying to gather some momentum again. Look out if they do.

3 (3) BREAKERS 18-6 – Need to string a few together now to make their run at top.

2 (2) 36ERS 13-11 – Form team at present with six straight wins and rolling.

1 (1) TAIPANS 18-6 – Have answered road challenges before and this is a good one.

Have you gone back and reviewed his rankings from week#7 through to week#16?

Rankings are for current period of games. Sixers have won 6 straight, Breakers dropped a couple.

Boti can be s creative writer and the best of times but I think his Rankings have been pretty spot on all year . He had 36ers at the bottom with Hawks when they lost 7 in a row.

Both form and ladder position should be considering when doing rankings, not just current win/loss streaks.

I think form is a bigger part of it. We already have the ladder to show record. Sixers are on a streak. Didn't the Breakers get picked off at home the other week?

Form is what determines the rankings as opposed to just ladder position, but you can't ignore the positions or otherwise you might as well just add the streak column to the ladder and sort it by that.

As much as the Hawks are in better form than Melbourne, they should not be ranked above them considering their respective wins/losses.

I'd have the rankings as;

Cairns...just
NZ
Adelaide....form team but still 4 wins away from the top two
Perth
Melbourne
Townsville
Sydney
Wollongong..can't justify having a team with just four wins ranked higher than any other team.

I'm with Isaac. If you just want to see the standings then look at nbl.com.au
Boti's rankings might not be perfect but at least there is some value and perspective in incorporating recent form into the equation.
FWIW I agree with his top 3.
Next week could well see Adelaide take the #1 spot and Cairns drop to 3rd.

That's right, a combination of both form and ladder position.

Breakers have won 6 of last 7 - I think.

I havent analysed but have read the article each week and laughed at his bias

This thread is so funny and ironic given tonight's results.
